On
26 October 2010, Spectralux laboratory has formally received
accreditation under the international standard ISO/IEC
17025:2005 from National Voluntary Accreditation Program (NVLAP)
administered by the National Institute of Standards and
Technology (NIST) of United States of America.
On January 2012, Spectralux Laboratory scope
of accreditation was updated to include life test measurements
on Fluorescent, High Intensity Discharge and Single-Ended
Compact Fluorescent Lamps
Spectralux scope of accreditation now
includes 58 test methods in various applications such as color
measurements, electrical measurements, photometric measurements
of lamps and luminaires.
This accreditation
recognizes our excellent expertise for testing light emitting
diodes (LED), incandescent, fluorescent, high intensity
discharge lamps and indoor and outdoor luminaires.

On 16 December 2010, Spectralux Laboratory
was the the first to be recognized by the EPA to test Solid
State Lighting Luminaires for the ENERGY STAR (ID:
1105820 ) Program and submit associated test reports to an
EPA-recognized Certification Body. Today, Spectralux
laboratory is recognized by the EPA for
ENERGY STAR
for all types of lamps, subcomponents and luminaires.
