Spectralux laboratory became the first and
the frontrunner of the commercial lighting testing laboratories
in North America by achieving
the complete IESNA LM-79:2008 test method for Solid-Sate
Lighting Products under the Energy Efficient Lighting Products
(EEL).
On 26 October 2010, Spectralux
laboratory has formally received accreditation under the
international standard ISO/IEC 17025:2005 from National
Voluntary Accreditation Program (NVLAP) administered by the
National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) of
United States of America.
Spectralux laboratory underwent a rigorous and thorough
evaluation process that included proficiency testing, on-site
assessment, quality management system review, internal audit and
management review. This accreditation establishes that the level
of technical and administrative performance within Spectralux
laboratory meets the
requirements for the highest competence of lighting testing
laboratories.
Spectralux scope of accreditation includes
26 test methods in various applications such as color
measurements, electrical measurements, photometric measurements
of lamps and luminaires. This accreditation recognizes our
excellent expertise for testing light emitting diodes (LED),
incandescent, fluorescent, high intensity discharge lamps and
indoor and outdoor luminaires.
Spectralux laboratory is dedicated to maintaining the highest
accuracy in measurements and a responsiveness offering the best
satisfaction to our customers. Becoming ISO 17025:2005
accredited was a team effort and a proactive decision that
anticipates the needs of our customers and demonstrates our
